In 2005, Behunin & Associates (B&A) was formed by David Behunin, President, with a vision to provide high quality audit work, which adds value to its customer and reduces risk. Our team is comprised of knowledgeable and experienced financial and information technology advisors, auditors and other internal control related subject matter specialists. Our people have degrees in accounting or information technology and many have significant, previous big-four or mid-tier public accounting firm experience which we leverage into our overall approach to client service. This background helps us to understand the needs of our customers and allows for meaningful and in-depth discussions with client executives such as the head of the information technology department or chief financial officer. It also allows for the effective coordination with customers’ external audit staff for a seamless and efficient integration and utilization of our work.


Our people are well trained and experienced in providing information technology consulting and auditing services. We provide a consistent and stable project team, project to project, year after year. We believe the knowledge gained about our customers helps us to better service our customers’ needs and minimizes disruption. There is no need to retrain a new consulting team each year because the team remains consistent. Our people have great interpersonal skills and build lasting relationships with our clients. All projects are supervised by a qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), with significant experience.

David Behunin

DAVID BEHUNIN, President
David has a background in accounting, auditing, information technology and privacy. This diverse background allows David to develop creative solutions when solving problems to bridge the gap that often exists between information technology, accounting and audit professionals. David is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Information Systems Auditor and has a B.S. and M.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University. Prior to forming the Company, David spent seven years with Ernst & Young LLP supervising and performing: financial and information technology audits; data analysis projects; and other internal control projects.
